PUT YOUR BODY
IN GOOD HANDS
Take the Osteo-path to Health
What is Osteopathy?
A client-centered, natural manual medicine.
A philosophy of treatment, healing, & health.
A holistic practice that views the body as self-sustaining.
Believes that Form (Structure) in the body equals Function.
Gentle, non-invasive hands on treatment.
Treats the root cause of pain, injury and illness - not just the symptoms.
An integrative therapy that does not use machines or drugs.
Client-Centred Philosophy: In Osteopathy, we are trained to take the time to understand our patients, and their unique combination of symptoms, medical history and lifestyle. Based on this, we formulate a treatment plan that will achieve the best outcome. We listen with our ears and our hands.
Philosophy of Treatment: In Osteopathy, we assess and treat dysfunction as it relates to any of the muscular, skeletal, nervous, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, and reproductive systems. Remove the Primary (root) cause of the dysfunction, and the natural functioning of the body is restored. We use a combination of movement, stretching, targeted deep tissue massage and manipulation of a person’s muscles and joints to improve function, relieve pain and aid recovery.
The body's innate ability to heal & maintain itself: We believe that healing is innate, and that it is not the therapist that "heals" you. We simply facilitate the process so that your body can heal itself when the body is in a normal structural relationship, has a normal environment and enjoys good nutrition.
Hands on Manual Therapy: We use a combination of knowledge based in anatomy and physiology with very sensitive and perceptive touch. We listen to your body through our hands, as well as to your story with our ears. As you speak, your body will respond to your story. We can assess the patterns that are present to help your body release them with gentle touch, palpation, and mobilization. This also helps bring awareness back into the body after any type of trauma has occurred.
“To find health should be the object of the practitioner.
Anyone can find disease.”
~ Dr. A. T. Still
"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."

Who Benefits from Osteopathy?
I regularly see adults and children who suffer from a wide range of complaints such as:
Concussion, TBI, Post-Concussion Syndrome, headaches, neck & back pain, injuries, sciatica, whiplash,
postural issues, arthritis, PTSD, sleep and digestive issues.
How Can Osteopathy Benefit You?
Soft tissue, muscle and joint pain
Whiplash and Motor Vehicle Injuries
Concussion, TBI, Post-Concussion Syndrome
Vertigo, Headache & Migraine
Anxiety, Depression, PTSD
Falls (including prevention), many other injuries
Osteopathy is very relaxing and helps calm and regulate the nervous system. Many experience altered states of consciousness in treatment that bring a sense of peace, balance and well-being to daily life.
Poor posture and constant sitting can be the source of pain. Osteopathy is able to treat problems caused by incorrect posture as well as help you to manage your lifestyle in order to prevent further problems that could develop due to the chronic posture.
ENERGY, HEALING, CHRONIC ILLNESS
Due to the beneficial effect in the body as a whole, patients with long term illness or injures are often relieved by Osteopathic treatment. While under osteopathic care, many people feel more alert and vital. Osteopathy enhances the efficiency of your body by improving blood and fluid flow, visceral, lymphatic and nervous system functioning. This increases healing, resilience and immunity.
